PULSE Door Operators
Innovative. Powerful. Reliable.
iControls® sets the standard for Direct Drive DC door openers performance. Easy to install, set up and troubleshoot, these high-cycle operators are loaded with features, and remarkably reliable. Our PULSE operators will add high-speed efficiency to your counter-balanced sectional, sliding or rolling steel doors.
High Voltage, High Torque DC Motors
We use 90V and 180V horsepower rated motors ranging from 3/8 HP to 3 HP, combined with gearboxes available in multiple sizes and ratios to ensure optimal strength and speed for your application.
Built-in Battery Backup
In the event of an outage, the included batteries provide power for multiple door cycles. Built on a separate circuit, the PULSE battery backup will work even if a board has been damaged, setting it apart from all other systems that rely on the full functionality of their printed circuit board. A built-in trickle charger ensures that the batteries are always charged and ready.
Adjustable Soft Start/Soft Stop
This feature offers smooth, controlled acceleration and deceleration of the door, and helps prolong the life of its mechanical parts. It also aids in the prevention of cable throw. The distance of both the acceleration and deceleration can be programmed to match the door requirements as needed.
Programmable Open & Close Speeds
The PULSE operators are built to achieve opening speeds of up to 24”/s and closing speeds of up to 16”/s. However, these speeds can be adjusted to best suit the application. Depending on the PULSE model, users can either select speeds via the LCD menu from 1 (slowest) to 5 (fastest), or set the desired RPM of the shaft output or door speed in inches per second. In the latter case, the operator intelligently takes care of the rest.
Intelligent Force Monitoring
Should the door hit an obstruction or become jammed, the system will sense the change in force and stop the open operation or reverse the close operation to avoid further damage. This integrated feature virtually eliminates the need for third-party safety edges.
