PULSE operators from iControls mitigate this issue with integrated “Soft Start, Soft Stop” functionality, engineered to optimize motion control and extend component longevity.

How It Works
When the operator begins to open the door, it moves at a slower speed for a preset distance. After this gradual “soft” start, it accelerates to the selected operating speed. As the door approaches the end of its cycle, it slows again for a preset distance before coming to a full stop. The same process occurs, in reverse, during the closing cycle.

Operational Benefit
This feature minimizes mechanical shock, reducing stress on drive systems and structural hardware. Over time, it helps preserve operational integrity, decrease maintenance intervals and improve door responsiveness.

The Light Communication Package from iControls includes two TL96 Stop and Go LED lights. The “Control” unit, installed inside the building, features a toggle switch. It communicates directly with the exterior “Drone” unit. With a quick flip of the switch, the user can change the inside light to red and the outside to green, or vice versa.

This easy-to-install system helps prevent early truck departures and untimely forklift entries at the dock, improving overall safety and efficiency.
