Door Reverses Before Reaching Close Position or as Soon as You Release the Close Button

If the door reverses before reaching the close position or as soon as you release the close button for your PULSE 300 Series door operator, consider the following troubleshooting actions:

For "Stopped: Overcurrent" message:

  • This may be because the Closing Force setting is too sensitive. Navigate to the STARTUP MENU and adjust the Closing Force setting to suit your needs:
    • For the commercial model: value 1 is the most sensitive and value 99 is the least sensitive;
  • For newer PULSE 300 models: you may turn off the Closing Force entirely and still retain automatic door closing feature. Opening Force and Closing Force settings are off by default on these models.

For misaligned or obstructed photo-eye/reflector:

  • Clean, realign, and/or clear any obstruction in front of the sensors/reflector. If all is good, then when rebooting the operator it should say "Safety Compliant".

For malfunctioning third-party reversing devices:

  • Disconnect third-party reversing devices and test the door again. Reconnect the reversing devices one at a time to isolate the defective one.
