No Display on the LCD Panel

If the LCD panel is not displaying anything on your PULSE 300 Series door operator, the probable cause could be a power issue. First, check the blue LED near the top middle of the board.

If the LED is off (board is not powered):

  • Ensure that the circuit breaker and disconnect switch are on, and the unit is plugged in.
  • Next, check the fuse on the board, secured in a black cylinder directly above the Live and Neutral terminals on the board. This fuse should be a 5x20mm 6.3A Time Delay fuse.
  • Also check the battery backup connections, and breaker on the bottom-middle of the board. The battery backup will keep power to the board and all its peripherals (while the battery is not low).

If the LED is on, and the screen is off:

  • Check with a flashlight if there is text on the screen. If there is text, the operator is in battery backup mode. On battery backup when the door moves the backlight on the screen will light up the screen.
  • Check that your main power is making it to the board, verify the circuit breaker and disconnect switch are on and the unit is plugged in.
  • Next, check the fuse on the board, secured in a black cylinder directly above the Live and Neutral terminals on the board. This fuse should be a 5x20mm 6.3A Time Delay fuse.

If the LED is on, and the screen is off with no text:

  • Check the ribbon cable between the screen and the power board. Push both sides in firmly and ensure they are making good contact.
